J.P. Johansson invents an adjustable wrench.

Johan Petter Johansson the inventor

In Enköping (Sweden) invents Mr. Johansson, among other inventions, hand tools like a pipe wrench and an adjustable wrench.

1890
Acquisition of sales and marketing rights by BA Hjorth & Co.

Berndt August Hjorth acquires the sales and marketing rights of all tools from J.P. Johansson and founded a company named
BA Hjoth & Co ..
Johan P. Johansson remains with the company as a designer and inventor of tools.

1916
The company AB BA Hjorth & Co. goes public.

The company is reorganized into AB BA Hjorth & Co.

 

 

1954
AB BA hjorth & Co. is renamed into AB BAHCO

AB BAHCO

AB BA hjorth & Co. is renamed into AB BAHCO

1970
BAHCO Dortmund is founded.

Foundation of the German BAHCO GmbH with headquarter in Dortmund-Bövinghausen.

1985
The BAHCO demonstration bus

A bus was purchased in 1985. This BAHCO bus was modificated for demonstration purposes of the pneumatic and hydraulic tools directly at customers' site. Also minor service works were done direclty at the customers works within that bus.

1989
BAHCO Dortmund expand

BAHCO moves to their new facility in Dortmund-Dorstfeld.

2008
BAHCO invensts into a new warehouse

The company growth steadily and the storage capacities getting  tight in Dorstfeld, another annex was needed.
